PRESCOTT, Ariz. (August 15, 2025)

The Yavapai College Softball team is pleased to announce the signing of pitcher Adyson Ordway!

Adyson just graduated from Deer Valley High School in Glendale, Arizona, where she was in the running for Pitcher of the Year in the entirety of Arizona Softball. Ordway finished her Senior season with an impressive 22-4 record, recording 265 strikeouts and finishing first in the state in no-hitters! Adyson also had an ERA of .70 her senior year, while having a career 1.70 ERA throughout her four years of high school varsity play.

New Head Coach Dann Giesey, excited with his first signing here at Yavapai, commented: "She was already one of Arizona's top high school pitchers– I do not believe she has hit her ceiling yet. I look forward to continuing her development and excellence here at Yavapai."
