HENDERSON, Nev. – The Riders strike back! In the second game of the ACCAC Playoffs Match-Up between Yavapai and #14 Southern Nevada, the Coyotes started off on a 7-1 lead, but the Roughriders came crawling back and went up 10-7 by the end of the game, forcing a win or go home game in the first round!
Once again, no home runs were scored in this game, but
Caleb Horsey managed to bat in 2 runs, run in 2 from himself, and get 2 hits including a double! The other runs were batted in by
Liam Richards,
Justin Cherrington,
Matthew Peterson,
AJ Diaz,
Brady Francisco, and
Lucas Franz. Richards, Francisco, and Franz all ran in for 2 as well, with Diaz and
Dalton Irwin each accounting for one run.Â

Traig Oughton pitched for 6.2 innings and had 5 strikeouts, while allowing only 3 hits and just 1 run!
Ty Thompson also had 1 strikeout in 2.1 innings.

The Roughriders forced a Game 3 today, and will play that game against the Coyotes tomorrow at Noon. The winner of this game will advance to the ACCAC Baseball Championship Series, where they will face off against the winner of the series between 2-seeded #21 Cochise and 3-seed #22 Central Arizona.
