The Yavapai Baseball team has just completed their final home game of the season, where they faced off against the Gila Monsters of Eastern Arizona. Prior to the game, Yavapai Baseball honored their 9 Sophomores that are graduating and moving on after the conclusion of the season.
The Sophomores that played their final game at Roughrider Park were
Matthew Peterson,
Dalton Irwin,
Paul Fernow,
Reid Hurtt,
Justin Parkes,
Owen Fernandes,
Derek Kiepke,
Austin Kalsek, and
Carson Sanchez.Â
Yavapai would go on to lose today's match against the Monsters in a 16-7 battle, which included a 3-Run Home Run from
Matthew Peterson!

Yavapai will play their final series of the season next weekend at Cochise. Games 1 and 2 will begin at Noon on Friday, May 1st, and the final game of the season for the Roughriders will be on Saturday the 2nd at 1 PM.
