The end of the Yavapai Baseball and Softball seasons are here, and although the Softball team still has one more regular season series to see where they land within the playoffs, it is confirmed that the Yavapai Baseball team will go back to the playoffs as the 4-seed!

Baseball

The Yavapai Baseball team is returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2022! In 2022, Yavapai went on the road to face off against #10 Central Arizona, who defeated the Roughriders in 2 games. Now, under the new coaching staff headed by Patrick Woods, the Roughriders return to the post season three years later with a head of steam and all of the upwards momentum! Yavapai finished the season with an overall record of 32-20, with 20 of those wins coming in ACCAC D1 games.

The Riders at the 4-seed will face off against the 1-seeded #14 College of Southern Nevada. Game 1 will be on Thursday, May 1st, at 3 PM in Henderson, NV. Game 2 will be the next day, Friday the 2nd at 3 PM. If a third game is necessary, that game will take place on Saturday the 3rd, also at 3 PM. 

Whoever wins this game will go on to play the winner of the 2-seed vs. 3-seed match-up, currently between #22 Cochise and #23 Central Arizona.

Softball

It is confirmed that the Yavapai Softball team will indeed make the playoffs this season! It is currently unclear as to where they will be seeded, because they are currently tied with Arizona Western. However, this upcoming weekend, Softball plays their final regular season series, and it happens to be against Arizona Western!

These games will be on the road, and the Roughriders are hoping to win the majority of these games in order to elevated their playoffs standings! Games 1 and 2 will be on Friday, May 2nd, at Noon and 2 PM. Games 3 and 4 will be the next day, on Saturday, May 3rd at 11 AM and 1 PM.
