PRESCOTT, Ariz. (September 29. 2025)
Winter sports are officially here! Starting this week, both the Men's and Women's Basketball team play in scrimmages, as well as home games for all three Fall Sports.
Volleyball
Over the weekend, the Yavapai Volleyball team could not match the intensity of the nationally-ranked Arizona Western team, going 1-3 and 0-3 in the two away matches.Â
This week, Yavapai will head down to Gilbert to face off in a non-conference match-up against the Ottawa Spirit. That game begins at 7 PM on Tuesday, September 30th.
Then, this Friday and Saturday, the Southern Nevada Coyotes will head down to Prescott for an ACCAC rematch of a few weeks ago. Yavapai won the first match, and CSN aims to settle the score. Match 1 is on Friday, Oct. 3rd at 7 PM, and Match 2 is at 1 PM the next day.
Women's Soccer
Yavapai Women's Soccer played in two matches last week, falling just short in both of them.
This week, Yavapai WSOC's next game is this Saturday the 4th at home vs. Arizona Western, who scored 6 goals on the Roughriders in their last meeting. This game begins at 4:30 PM.
Men's Soccer
Last week, the Yavapai Men's Soccer team only had one game, and it ended in a 1-1 tie after a significant lightning delay.Â
This Saturday, October 4th, the Arizona Western Matadors will make their way up to Prescott to try and sweep the Roughriders. The game will begin at 7 PM, and will take place at Ken Lindley Field.
Men's and Women's Basketball
Yavapai Basketball is back! Men's head coachÂ
Kevon Davis and newly-hired Women's head coach Zach LeMay have very high hopes for their teams in the 2025-26 season, and both teams have scrimmage games all throughout the late week and weekend!
Both Men's and Women's Basketball are home this Thursday, Oct. 2, to face off in scrimmages against Navajo Technical University. Women's begins at 5 PM, while Men's begins at 7 PM.
Then, both teams will head down to Phoenix to play in Preseason Jamboree scrimmage games! Women play on Saturday, Men on Sunday.
