PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Former Yavapai Baseball player Riley Nelson has been drafted in the MLB Draft by the Cleveland Guardians!

Riley was chosen in the 5th round of the 2025 MLB Draft at pick 162, where his foreseeable future is in Cleveland as a Guardian.

Nelson, an Infielder for the Roughriders, played in Prescott for just one season. During his time here, he scored 13 Home Runs, 55 RBI, with a .412 Batting Average.
