PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Early in the week, the Yavapai Roughrider Baseball team continued conference play at home when they faced off against the #21-ranked Vaqueros of Central Arizona. Out of the three-game series, Yavapai would take 2 of the games, scoring 22 total runs! For the season, Yavapai has bested the Vaqueros 4-2.
Game 1
This game was a close 9-innings, and the Riders had a chance to come back from a 6 point deficit to win the ballgame, but the Vaqueros were too tough, and they would win the first game 11-9.
Matthew Peterson and
Justin Cherrington both hit home runs in this game! (Both of their 10th Home Runs of the season, both lead the team in HR's). The other 7 runs were run in by
Nathan Nichols (2),
Reid Hurtt,
Kevin Ramos,
Caleb Horsey, and
Brady Francisco. The runs were batted in from Hurtt, Horsey, and

Game 2
The first game of the double-header may not have had a lot of scoring, but the competitiveness was certainly there! The Riders would win this game 1-0!

Justin Cherrington. Cherrington would also steal a base in this game.

Collin Adams would allow zero runs, only 3 hits, and have 6 strikeouts in 6.1 innings!
On the final play of the game, the Riders had a double play from

Game 3
Unlike the middle game of the series, this game had tons of offense, enough for Yavapai to win the game and the series, winning 12-6!
Justin Cherrington would record the only home run of the day, batting in 3! He had an RBI of 5 for this game, and had 2 total runs. The other runs came from
