HENDERSON, Nev. – The Yavapai Softball team continued conference play this weekend, playing in a 4 game series at Southern Nevada. The Roughriders would end the series at 3-1, adding some more wins to their conference standings!
Game 1
The Riders won the first game handily, with a final score of 12-4.
Olivia Boswell and
Charley Pitrat each had a Home Run in this game! The Other runs were scored by
Olivia Boswell (Home Run + 2 more),
Brianna Baca (2),
Hayden McGuire (2),
Kylie Sam,
Tamryn Tucker,
Ivannya Perez, and
Emmersyn Villa.Â
Boswell and Pitrat each had 3 RBI, with Baca and Tucker each having 2. Boswell stole a base as well.
Mackenzie Durr had 4 K's against 14 batters faced.
Gracie Firth had 6 putouts, while Tucker and Villa each had 4.Â
Game 2
The second game of the Friday slate  was a little more competitive, but the Riders still pulled out with the W, winning 4-3.
No homers were scored in this game, but the runs here came from
Kylie Sam,
Angelica Carrillo,
Ivannya Perez, and
Emmersyn Villa. 2 of these runs were batted in by
Brianna Baca, with one from
Natalie Ojeda and the other from
Olivia Boswell.
Mackenzie Durr had 5 strikeouts in this game, pitching in all 7 innings.Â
Ojeda had 5 putouts, while Boswell and
Hayden McGuire had 4 apiece.
Tamryn Tucker had 2 assists.
Game 3
The first game of Saturday was the only game Yavapai dropped, as they would fall 1-2.
The one run was scored by
Olivia Boswell, with that run batted in by
Tamryn Tucker.
Emmersyn Villa had a double in this game.
Breanne Petty pitched 6 innings and allowed only 2 runs.
Tamryn Tucker had 9 putouts, while
Kylie Sam and
Brianna Baca each had 3.
Kylie Sam had 5 assists.Â
Game 4
The final game of the series was a nail-biter, and Yavapai would eventually pull away with the win, winning 10-8!

Ivannya Perez, and
Emmersyn Villa each scoring one for themselves.

Next weekend, the Roughriders return home for their first conference home games! They will play in a 4-game series vs. Arizona Western, with Games 1 & 2 on Friday the 28th at 1 & 3 PM, and Games 3 & 4 the next day at 11 AM and 1 PM.
