PRESCOTT, Ariz. — Today was a wild day for Yavapai Roughrider fans, as the Baseball team swept the visiting Thompson Rivers 2 games to none in very dramatic fashion!
Kevin Ramos would score a Walk-Off 3-Run Home Run to send TRU back home!
Game 1
Yavapai would win the first game 12-1.
This game had a 10-run inning coming from the Bottom of the 2nd. Out of the 12 runs scored, 4 of them came from
Nathan Nichols, who hit a Grand Slam!
Justin Cherrington also hit a home run! Other runs were scored by

This game came down to the very last inning. As Yavapai trailed 2-5,
Matthew Peterson hit a single run homer to right field to make the game 3-5. After 2 outs,
Caleb Horsey would step up to the plate, and would run in
Brady Francisco and
Liam Richards. With just once chance,
Kevin Ramos hit a 3-run Home Run far into right field to end the game, running in himself,
Justin Cherrington, and
Caleb Horsey. Yavapai would win 8-5!
Ramos and Richards each had 2 runs in this game, while Peterson, Horsey, Francisco, and Cherrington would each have one. Hero of the game Ramos batted in 3 runners at the buzzer.
Shane Hooper had 5 strikeouts, while
