PRESCOTT, Ariz. (October 20, 2025)
This week marks the FINAL WEEK of Yavapai Fall Sports in their 2025 regular seasons! Volleyball, men's Soccer, and Women's Soccer will all close out their conference play this week in order to make a push for the playoffs!
Volleyball
After going on a 6-game win streak throughout the past couple of weeks, Yavapai fell 3-1 vs. the nationally-ranked Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters. Although it is guaranteed that the Roughriders will make the playoffs, the next 2 games vs. Central Arizona will determine how far up the standings Yavapai will travel.
This Friday, October 24th, Yavapai will face off against Central Arizona at 7 PM. This game will also be the Sophomore Night for the Yavapai Volleyball team, showcasing the Sophomores who will graduate from Yavapai once this season is over!
The next day, Saturday, October 25th, the Roughriders and the Vaqueras will face off once more at 1 PM.
Women's Soccer
Last week, Women's Soccer had the chance for a playoffs push when they went down to Douglas to face off against Cochise, but would fall 1-3 on the road. Although their 2025 season may be over, they still have one last game at home to entertain the masses.
On Tuesday, October 21st, Yavapai WSOC will face off against #12 Eastern Arizona at 4:30 PM. This game will take place at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley, AZ, and will also be the Sophomore Night for the team, shouting out the Sophomores who have led this team this season! This will be the final home game for the Roughriders this season, so make sure to stop by the game and support the home team!
Men's Soccer
The Yavapai Men's Soccer team is currently sitting in 4th place in the MSOC D1 ACCAC Standings, the lowest seed that can make the playoffs. If Yavapai wins against their next team, Eastern Arizona, they will not only secure a playoffs spot, but most likely jump to the 3-seed!
Tomorrow at 7 PM, Yavapai MSOC will face off against aforementioned Eastern Arizona at the Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley. This will also most likely be the last home game for the Men's Soccer Roughriders, so make sure to come out and support the team! Tomorrow night also marks the team's Sophomore Night, so come out and support the Sophomores in their final home game as Roughriders!
Basketball
Men's and Women's Basketball is still in their preseason, but the momentum is ramping up as they each have a scrimmage game this week!
Women's Basketball is "on the road" at Embry Riddle this Thursday, Oct. 23rd at 5 PM. The Men's game tips off at 7 PM at home vs. Arizona Christian University JV team.
