PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Earlier today, the Yavapai College Softball team hosted a camp for teens! The up and coming middle school and high school players got to learn some tips and tricks from our very own Roughrider Softball team, as well as play alongside each other in a scrimmage!
These girls came from all parts of Arizona, and even traveled from New Mexico and California, to come learn from the very best! This camp was set up for 13 through 18 year olds, and they definitely came out swinging!
The YC Softball team all acted as mentors today, as they split the girls up into various groups throughout the day to focus on a variety of drills and skills. Some of these drills included throwing, infield vs. outfield, defense, and pitching and catching!
Head Coach
Kali Pugh commented about the camp, saying: "Everybody is having a grand ol' time, and they're learning lots of valuable skills!"
In the end, the Yavapai Softball team got to play alongside the youth, a rewarding experience for both the camp members and their counselors!
