PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The Yavapai College softball team returns to competition in just 23 days as the Roughriders are set to embark on a 57 game (not counting potential postseason games) season in 2022. The full schedule can be found here. 

Opening day for the Roughriders comes on Friday, January 28 where they will participate in the 2022 Coyote Classic in Henderson, Nevada. Following their five games in Henderson, the Roughriders head to Yuma, Arizona, for four games in the 2022 Great Western Shootout. 

After the two tournaments, it's all conference games for the remaining 48 (24 doubleheaders) games on the schedule. Yavapai's home opener is set for Tuesday, February 8 at noon against the Pima Community College Aztecs. Game two of that doubleheader is slated for 2 p.m.

The Roughriders regular season comes to a close on Saturday, May 7 with a doubleheader against Gateway on the road. After the regular season, the NJCAA Region 1 Tournament is set for May 12-14 while the NJCAA National Championship is slated for May 24-28.

Fans wishing to purchase season passes for all softball home games can do so for $40. If fans wish to purchase season passes for softball AND baseball, they can do so for $75. To purchase, fans should reach out to Director of Athletics Brad Clifford at brad.clifford@yc.edu or 928-776-2230. 

In addition, all home contests will be streamed this season. Individual streams can be purchased for $5 while doubleheaders can be purchased for $8. Season stream passes for all softball home games can be purchased for $55.
