PRESCOTT, Ariz. (April 27, 2026)

The Yavapai Athletics Spring Sports regular season wraps up this week for Baseball and Softball. While Baseball is out of playoff contention, the Softball team still has a chance to advance into the postseason.

This week, Baseball and Softball will conclude their regular seasons by playing in ACCAC Conference games!

Softball

Yavapai Softball currently sits in the 5-seed in the ACCAC standings, and they need to win at least 3 of their next 4 games to advance into the NJCAA Region 1 Playoff picture!

This weekend, Yavapai will host Arizona Western in a 4-game series that is bound to shake up the standings. Games 1 and 2 will be at 12 & 2 PM on Friday, May 1st. The final two games of the regular season are on Saturday the 2nd, beginning at 11 AM & 1 PM.

Additionally, this series will be the final home appearance for the 2026 Yavapai Softball team!

Before the first pitch of Game 1, the Yavapai Softball Sophomores will be recognized in the Sophomore Day ceremony.

Baseball

The Yavapai Baseball team will finish up their 2026 season this weekend on the road against #20 Cochise College.

The Roughriders and the Apaches will face off in a 3-game series. Games 1 and 2 will be on Friday, May 1st at 12 & 2:30 PM. The final game of the season for the Roughriders will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, May 2nd.
