Yavapai Baseball Defeats Langley Blaze with Impressive Offensive Effort from Dalton Irwin

YC BB wins 13-2 at Home

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (March 18, 2026)

The Yavapai Baseball team has just defeated the visiting Langley Blaze in a 13-2 rout at home!

Redshirt Sophomore Dalton Irwin had an especially impressive day on both sides of the field, but his impact came on the offensive end. Irwin blasted the ball into left field for a 2nd inning 2 run Homer! In total, he had 3 RBI's, 3 runs for himself, and stole 2 bases underneath the noses of the Blaze.

Freshman Lucas Tobin came into the game late and hit a Triple, which generated another run for Yavapai in the Bottom of the 6th. Derek Kiepke and Carter Brown each hit a double in this game as well.

Yavapai unleashed their bullpen in this game and had 5 pitchers come in at various times to showcase their arm strength. Carson Sanchez had 3 strikeouts in one inning, while starting pitcher Paul Fernow, Austin Kalsek, and Joseph Talas all had 2 K's apiece!

Tarrell Reid made a double play on the field, while Garison Jones came into the game late as catcher and had 5 putouts.

Yavapai Baseball won this game against Langley Blaze 13-2, and are now sitting at a 10-10 record on the season!

UP NEXT

This weekend, Yavapai Baseball makes their way down to Thatcher for a 3-game series against Eastern Arizona. Games 1 and 2 will be this Friday, March 20th at 12 & 2:30 PM, while the final game will be on Saturday the 21st with a High Noon First Pitch.
