YUMA, Ariz. (February 7, 2026)

The Yavapai Men's Basketball team has just played against ACCAC rival rv Arizona Western. The Matadors beat the Roughriders 69-61, their first conference loss since January 28th.

The top three scorers for Yavapai came for the bench: Rudolfs Svitins had 17, Alex Pierce had 16, and Timothy Zoonekynd had 15. Svitins shot an efficient 6-10 from the field, including 4-7 from 3-point range.

Jason Parent is continuing his great efforts this season off the ball, where he fed 3 assists to his teammates as well as 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Torin Bosch had 7 boards as well.

Raphael Nibishaka has been invaluable ever since he was added into the starting lineup. In today's game, he recorded a game-high 5 blocks, his best defensive performance of the season!

Yavapai Men's Basketball fell by just 8 points in this game, and are one game out of the ACCAC playoffs behind Southern Nevada.
