PRESCOTT, Ariz. (May 21, 2026)
Yavapai College Men's Basketball is proud to announce that
Jason Parent has committed to continue his academic and basketball career at Arkansas Tech University.
A local product and graduate of Prescott High School, Parent spent the past two seasons representing his hometown while making a tremendous impact on our program both on and off the court. This spring, he graduated from Yavapai College with his associate's degree and now moves on to continue his career at the NCAA Division II level.
During the 2024-25 season, Parent earned ACCAC Defensive Player of the Year honors while also being named Second Team All-ACCAC and ACCAC Division I All-Region. He averaged 14.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while establishing himself as one of the top two-way players in the conference.
Parent followed that up with an outstanding 2025-26 campaign, averaging 16.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 81.7 percent from the free throw line. His all-around production, toughness, and leadership consistently made him one of the top guards in the ACCAC.
Before arriving at Yavapai, Parent established himself as one of the top players in Northern Arizona history at Prescott High School, where he finished as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,622 career points and earned 4A Grand Canyon Region Player of the Year honors.
"Jason has been a tremendous representative of our program and community during his time at Yavapai," said Head Coach
Kevon Davis. "His work ethic, competitiveness, and leadership helped set the standard for our team every day. We are proud of everything he accomplished here and excited to see him continue his career at Arkansas Tech."
Congratulations, Jason, and thank you for everything you gave to Yavapai Basketball and the Prescott community.
