PHOENIX, Ariz. (February 20, 2026)
The Yavapai Baseball team has just completed their single game on the road at Phoenix College, and the Bears would make a late-game push to seal this victory over the visitors, 4-7.
First Baseman
Carter Brown's 2 hits and 2 RBI's accounted for half of the Roughriders' scoring.
Tarrell Reid's Double would set him up in scoring position later in the game, as well as a wild pitch from the Bears that allowed
Parker Halvorson to take it home.
5 Roughriders were able to steal a base in this game, including
Dalton Irwin,
Reid Hurtt,
Revan Maduro,
Matthew Peterson, and
Tarrell Reid.
Starting Pitcher
Austin Kalsek had 3 strikeouts in 3 innings, while
James Rule had 2.
Max Strickland, although just one K in 1.2 innings, caught a runner stealing, as well as relief pitcher
Justin Parkes.
No Double Plays would be made by the Roughriders on the field today, but both Peterson and Reid had 2 assists each, while Brown had 7 putouts. Catcher
Derek Kiepke caught 2 runners stealing.
Yavapai Baseball is now 5-3, and looks to keep their head above water before heading into conference play next weekend.
