The Yavapai Men's Basketball team needed a win today, and for the home crowd, the Roughriders delivered a 70-59 win over the Coyotes of Southern Nevada!
Today was the Unity Day game for YC MBB, and the guys surely looked unified today as they won their first conference game of the season at home, thanks to some great standout Roughrider performances.
Frenchman
Raphael Nibishaka started in today's game, and #10 would score 10 while having a huge impact while on the floor. His 9 total rebounds and 4 monster blocks provided much-needed energy for the good guys.
Torin Bosch is continuing his excellent Sophomore season, scoring 19 and going 8-10 from the free throw line.
While only scoring 7 points,
Jason Parent had a ridiculous 15 rebound game, keeping the Coyote defenders at bay with his vertical and reach.
Late in the game,
Timotey Zoonekynd made various clutch three-point shots, going 5-11 in the game from deep and ending the contest with 16.
Overall, this was a huge must-win conference game for Yavapai, and the win from this game with garner some momentum needed to finish the season strong and to make a playoff push.
