The Yavapai Men's Basketball team resumed their season today in the conference opener at Eastern Arizona, and Yavapai would fall just short in the close game. The Gila Monsters won 79-77 on their home court.

Torin Bosch had a sensational afternoon, scoring 17 points off of an efficient 6-7 shooting. Amari Lawrence had 15 off the bench, and Timotey Zoonekynd's three 3-pointers propelled him to 11.

Jason Parent returned to the court after missing a few games, and he was able to grab a team-high 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals, while scoring 6.

Raijon Dispensa had 6 boards accompanied by his 9 points.

Yavapai has lost the conference opener against Eastern Arizona, who were receiving votes in last week's AP poll, and are now 9-7 on the season.
