Yavapai Men's Basketball Final Home Game Honors Sophomores and Faculty

YC falls to Southern Nevada 72-80

PRESCOTT, Ariz. –  Earlier today, the Yavapai Men's Basketball team played in their final home game of the 2024-25 season! They faced off against the Coyotes from the College of Southern Nevada, but the victor of Yavapai's last home game would be the visitors, Coyotes winning 80-72.

Before the game, the Sophomores of the Men's Basketball Team were recognized and honored! The Sophomores of the 2024-25 Yavapai Men's Basketball team were:

Raphael Dupouy
Martin De Laporterie
Nadir Myers
Danilo Kojicic
Jason Parent
Kyle Robinson Jr.
Kent Teshima (Manager)


In the first half, the offense was kickstarted by Jason Parent, who had a couple of monster dunks as well as a couple of three pointers. Shots would also come from Kyle Robinson Jr., Raphael Dupouy, Deyishon Miller, and Nadir Myers. Parent would also record a steal, as well as Ryan Vischer. The Roughriders would trail by 3 by the end of the half.

During halftime, Yavapai Faculty Members that were nominated by the Men's Basketball players were honored and recognized with certificates! These nominees were:

Jodi Showler


A huge thank you to Heather Leavitt for organizing this event, for the Men's and Women's games!

The second half had much more offense from Parent, as well as from Myers, who made a couple of three-pointers when it mattered most. More shotmaking would come from Miller and Dupouy. Defensive efforts would be stepped up in this half as well, with Jason Parent and Kyle Robinson Jr. getting steals, and Miller getting a block.

Southern Nevada would win 80-72.

Jason Parent would finish with 22 points, Myers with 18 points.
