PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Earlier today, the Yavapai Women's Basketball team played in their final home game of the 2024-25 season! The team faced off against Southern Nevada.

Before the game, the Sophomores of the Women's Basketball Team were recognized and honored! The Sophomores of the 2024-25 Yavapai Women's Basketball team were:

Ellie Bennett    
Courtenay Lee

In the first half, much of the offense came from Stephanie Gonzalez, as well as Tierra Bargeman, Courtenay Lee, Aysja Ward, and Ellie Bennett. Lee also had a couple of blocks, and Jon'qora Moore had a steal.

During halftime, Yavapai Faculty Members that were nominated by the Women's Basketball players were honored and recognized with certificates! These nominees were:

Andrea Schaben
Angela Fabela
Nichole Guzzo
Steven Sparks

A huge thank you to Heather Leavitt for organizing this event, for the Men's and Women's games!

The second half had much more offense, with a lot of it coming from Ward. Bennett and Bargeman began to drain their three-pointers as well. Ward had a block in this half as well.

The visiting Coyotes would end up winning 47-85.

Aysja Ward had 10 points. Courtenay Lee would end up with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Ellie Bennett had 8.
