Yavapai Athletics Weekly Look-Ahead: November 3 - 8

Upcoming Yavapai Sporting Events of this Week

11/3/2025 12:33:00 PM

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (November 3, 2025)

Yavapai Winter Sports are in full swing! Men's and Women's Basketball have begun their seasons, and their home openers are both this week! Also, Volleyball looks to continue their season through means of playoff victories!

Volleyball

The Volleyball playoffs are here, and Yavapai is the 4-seed within the ACCAC and NJCAA Region 1.

Tonight, they will aim for the W against a tough 1-seeded Eastern Arizona, who currently ranked at #10 in the country.

That game begins at 7 PM in Thatcher. A win for the Roughriders means a chance to travel to the winner of the 2 and 3-seed match up between Central Arizona and Arizona Western.

Men's Basketball

The Yavapai Men's Basketball team has had a great start to their season thus far, going 1-1 over the weekend at the Physicians Immediate Care Tournament in Twin Falls, Idaho. Although they lost a close game against #17 Southern Idaho, the Roughriders rallied back and beat Colorado Northwestern, featuring a 28-point game from Jason Parent!

This week, Yavapai MBB is having their home opener against New Mexico Military Institute. On Wednesday, November 5th, Yavapai and NMMI tip off at 7 PM, with that game being sponsored by VIP Auto & RV Sales.

Then, on Friday at 7 PM, Yavapai is home again for a match-up against South Mountain. This game will be sponsored by Nova Home Loans.

Women's Basketball

Yavapai Women's Basketball has a new coach, Zachg LeMay, who is hoping to improve the Roughriders from last year. The Roughriders started 0-2 at the Snow College Classic, which means that it can only go up from here!

This Tuesday, November 4th, Yavapai WBB will have their home opener against #2 Pima CC. That game will tip off at 5:30 PM.

Then, over the weekend, Yavapai will head down to Thatcher for the Eastern Arizona College Gila Monsters Tournament. They will have their first game on Thursday, November 6th at 4 PM vs. Western Wyoming. Game 2 of the tournament is on Friday, November 7th at 4 PM vs. Southern Nevada. The final game of the tournament will be on Saturday, November 8th at 1:30 PM vs. Snow College, a rematch.
