PRESCOTT, Ariz. (November 15, 2025)

The Yavapai Men's Basketball team is proving to be a very hard team to play at home, as Yavapai just beat the undefeated Mesa Thunderbirds in a 76-75 thriller at home. The final shot was taken within the final second by none other than Alex Pierce, who made the three-pointer to win the game!

While Pierce had a slow start, he was able to create the game-winning offense needed to keep Yavapai lossless at home. Pierce had 10 total for the game, and his buzzer-beater was his only made shot of the second half.

Torin Bosch, the ACCAC D1 Men's Basketball Player of the Week last week, had a team-high 17 points. Jason Parent had 14, and Amari Lawrence had 13. 

Andrew Lyon was hot off the bench, scoring two clutch three-pointers in the second half, ending with 6.

Yavapai is now 3-0 at Home and 4-3 on the season. This is Pierce's second game-tying or game-winning shot at the buzzer this season, and there have only been 7 Yavapai Men's Basketball games!
