PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The Yavapai Men's Basketball Team just faced off in their second match-up this season against AZ SOL from Tucson. In their first match from November 25th, the victor was Yavapai, where they scored 98 points to their 50. In this game, Yavapai would once again win, beating the visiting AZ SOL 101-62.
The first half, big scoring plays were made from
Martin De Laporterie and
Jason Parent, who each had a couple of dunks. Parent also made a 3-pointer, as well as a few threes made from
Nadir Myers.
Deyishon Miller checked in to make a couple of shifty layups.
Defensively, Parent had a steal and De Laporterie and
Ryan Vischer each had a block.
The score was Yavapai 56-29 at halftime.
In the second half,
Martin De Laporterie started off with some strong scoring, which was soon followed by great scoring plays from
Jediah Jones and
Raphael Dupouy.
Andrew Lyon and
Danilo Kojicic each made a three-pointer, and
Jason Parent and Dupouy had some big dunks.
Amari Lawrence had a block and a steal in clutch time.
Yavapai would win this game 101-62.

The Men's team plays away this Wednesday at Cochise College. That game is set to tip off at 7:30 pm on January 8th.
