THATCHER, Ariz. -- The Yavapai Men's Basketball team traveled down to Thatcher to play in the Eastern Arizona College Classic Invitational event, where they faced off against Gadsden State and Harry S. Truman. The guys fell short against the Gadsden State Men's team on Thursday night, but rose back up high to defeat Harry S. Truman earlier today!
The Men's team lost to Gadsden State in a close 72-83 match-up on Thursday night.
Friday afternoon, they were able to blow out Harry S. Truman 71-51!
Martin De Laporterie scored a game-high 22 points against Truman, with
Nadir Myers scoring 17. De Laporterie also had 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Myers and
Kyle Robinson Jr. each had 6 assists and 3 steals.

The Men's team will return home to have their rematch against AZ SOL on Monday, January 6th. The competition will tip off at 7 pm inside the Walraven Gymnasium!
