PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The 2023-24 athletics year of competition has come and gone for the Roughriders and with summer fast approaching, it is now time for YC Athletics to kick off its season of summer camps. 

Five of YC's programs will be hosting camps this summer: women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, softball and baseball. For full details and times on each camp and registration information, please visit GoRoughriders.com/Camps. 

Aligned with the college's mission, Yavapai College is dedicated to serving the community through camps for younger student-athletes and community events that the department is incredibly passionate about.

Women's Soccer
The Roughrider women's soccer program will be offering two skills camps for boys and girls aged 5-14 on June 3 - 6 and June 24 - 27. In addition, small group training with collaborative scheduling is also available for boys and girls of all ages and all abilities. 

Other women's soccer camps include a youth camp in Cottonwood, Arizona, from August 3 - 5, an ID Camp in Prescott on August 4, a youth camp in Prescott Valley on August 6 and an AYSO youth camp with a date to be determined in August. 

Volleyball
YC Volleyball is offering two overnight camps this summer with the first being for ages 10 - 16 on June 12 - 14. Later in the month, an overnight camp for ages 12 - 18 will be available on June 19 - 21. 

In addition, the Roughriders will also be hosting a summer youth league throughout the month of July for middle school and high school teams to compete against one another. 

Men's Basketball
Two youth day camps will be held by the YC men's basketball program this summer, one from June 24 - 25 and one from July 22 - 23 with both allowing ages eight-and-above. In addition, an ID Camp will be available for ages 14-and-above on June 25. 

Softball
YC Softball is partnering with Nike this summer to host an overnight camp for ages 14 - 18 on June 16 - 19. 

Baseball
Baseball at YC will offer two more camps this summer: a day youth camp from July 8 - 9 for ages 8-14 and a day high school camp from July 15 - 16.
