PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Tonight, the Yavapai Men's Basketball team played against the Central Arizona College Vaqueros. This battle as close all throughout, Central Arizona would walk away with the victory, winning 66-76.
In the first half, great defensive plays in the early half came from
Jason Parent, who had some great blocks and steals. The offense came in strong from
Nadir Myers, who had four early three pointers, as well as a dunk from Parent and some easy points from
Kyle Robinson Jr. and
Deyishon Miller.Â
At halftime, point guard
Nadir Myers had 20 first half points, and had Yavapai in the lead 30-28.
The second half was also a close contest, and much more scoring continued to come from
Nadir Myers.
Jason Parent and
Martin De Laporterie also had a hand in providing some much needed offense. Parent and
Kyle Robinson Jr. provided some defensive steals to lead to this offense as well. However, it would not be enough, as the Roughriders would fall to the Vaqueros 66-76.
