PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The Yavapai Men's Basketball team just faced off against conference rival Southern Nevada, where the Roughriders would put up a good fight but ultimately fall to the Coyotes 98-91.

The first half was close and saw a lot of action from both ends of the floor. Big plays from Martin De Laporterie and Nadir Myers kept the offense flowing, with additional scoring coming from Kyle Robinson Jr., Deyishon Miller, and Raphael Dupouy. The defense came from all over, with steals coming from Jason Parent, Miller, Robinson, and Myers, as well as a block from De Laporterie. CSN would go on a run and be up by 10 at the half.

In the second half, the home team got more competitive and closed the gap. Big scores early came from Jediah Jones and Amari Lawrence off the bench, and then some more help came from De Laporterie, Myers, and Miller. The clutch defense came from Parent and Myers, in the form of blocks and steals.
