PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Tonight, the Men's Basketball Home Opener kicked off against the #24 Ranked Snow College Badgers, for the Yavapai Men's Basketball Veterans' Day Game. However, the home crowd could not hand the Badgers their first loss, and they fell 64-80.

In the first half, Yavapai got off to a slow start, but the momentum started to shift once #15 Jason Parent had back to back slam dunks to bring the energy up. Big offensive plays would come from #20 Martin De Laporterie, #0 Raphael Dupouy, and #10 Jediah Jones. Some three pointers were made by #14 Amari Lawrence and #5 Nadir Myers. Big defensive plays from Myers and #13 Kyle Robinson Jr. were a major help, but Yavapai was trailing by 7 at the end of the first half.

During halftime, the Veterans in attendance were asked to come to the court, as they were honored for their service for the United States.

The second half started off slow for Yavapai, but then some big defensive steals from Nadir Myers got the offense cooking again. De Laporterie and Parent had great scoring plays, as well as some blocks from De Laporterie and a steal or two from Myers. #11 Kevin Rucker Jr. got a big three off as well, but all of their great efforts would be for naught, as Snow College would win 64-80.
