PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The Yavapai College men's basketball team lit up the scoreboard on Tuesday night inside of Walraven Gymnasium, defeating the Community Christian College Saints 138-64 to improve to 11-9 overall on the season while tallying its highest point total so far during the 2023-24 season.

Of the 138 points, 87 came on the strength of 29 three-pointers from the Roughriders and 10 of the 29 threes came from one player: freshman guard Isaac Gonzalez

Gonzalez's historic day of 10 made three-pointers tied a 34 year old YC record, held by Tony Simms who also knocked down 10 threes on February 5, 1990.

The freshman guard knocked down a pair of long-range shots on YC's first two possessions of the game and the barrage never stopped as the Roughriders led 41-8 with 10 minutes left in the first half and coasted into halftime with a 62-32 lead.

After the break, the Roughriders knocked down 16 three-pointers en route to a dominant 138-64 victory.

Sophomore guard Ray Glasgow and freshman guard Khalil O'Bannon each knocked down five three-point balls themselves and finished with 23 and 21 points, respectively.

Other Roughriders to notch double-digit points included freshman guard Kam O'Bannon (14), fellow freshman guard Nadir Myers (11) and freshman forward Martin De Laporterie (10).
