PRESCOTT, Ariz. – In his third season at the helm of the Roughriders, Head E-Sports Coach Kevin Lewis is excited to welcome 11 newcomers to the Roughriders for the 2023-24 season. With the newcomers and three returners (Summer Kirk, Brandon Pieczarka and Nick Rideout) the roster is now at 14. 

The Roughriders will compete in five games during the 2023-24 season: Rocket League, Overwatch 2, Street Fighter 6, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Beat Saber. 

William Sawdy | Overwatch 2 | Freshman | Youngtown, AZ

High School: Sawdy graduated from Centennial High School where he trained several members of the SSBU team. 

Personal: Sawdy was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on April 25, 2004. He enjoys playing Yu-Gi-Oh and, in the future, wants to major in cybersecurity. 

Brad Milan | SSBU | Sophomore | Prescott Valley, Arizona

High School: Milan graduated from Mirabeau B. Lamar High School in 2014. 

Before Yavapai: Before becoming a Roughrider, Milan previously attended Embry Riddle. 

Personal: Milan was born in Houston, Texas. His hobbies include controller modding and car mechanics. While at YC, he plans to complete the nursing program. 

Andrew Rideout | Overwatch 2 | Freshman | Bagdad, Arizona 

High School: Rideout graduated from Bagdad High School where he played football.  

Personal: Rideout was born in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on July 20, 2004. His hobbies include writing, listening to music, playing video games and being with animals. While at YC, he plans to earn his associates degree. 

Yiannis Paslidis | Street Fighter 6 | Sophomore | Sedona, Arizona

High School: Paslidis graduated from Orme School in May of 2021. 

Personal: Paslidis was born in Arkansas on July 15, 2002. His hobbies include writing and gaming. 

Caleb Lubic | SSBU | Freshman | Dewey, Arizona

High School: Lubic graduated from AAEC. 

Personal: Lubic was born in Prescott Valley, Arizona, on June 8, 2006. His hobbies include listening to music and gaming. While at YC, he plans to earn his bachelors degree in nursing. 

Zachary Roehr | Overwatch 2 | Sophomore | Prescott, Arizona

High School: Roehr graduated from ASU Prep Digital Online in 2019. 

Before Yavapai: Before becoming a Roughrider, Roehr previously attended GCU. 

Personal: Roehr was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on November 16, 2000. He enjoys running and plans to attain his programming certification while at YC. 

Drey Rochette | Beat Saber | Freshman | Brunswick, Maine

High School: Rochette graduated from Brunswick High School in June of 2015. 

Personal: Rochette was born in Brunswick, Maine, on June 11, 1997. His hobbies include gaming, studying and working out. In the future, he plans to study aerospace engineering. 

Jericho Nucum | Rocket League | Sophomore | Rockford, Illinois

High School: Nucum graduated from Hononegah High School in 2013. 

Before Yavapai: Before becoming a Roughrider, Nucum previously attended Rock Valley College, Irvine Valley College and Embry Riddle. While at Embry Riddle, he was on the E-Sports team playing Rainbow 6 Siege. 

Personal: Nucum was born in Ontario, California, on July 6, 1995. His hobbies include gaming, writing, video editing, traveling, cooking, mixology, music and skating. While at YC, he plans to earn his associates degree in business followed by his bachelors degree at YC or NAU. 

Daniel Lanier | Rocket League | Freshman | Prescott, Arizona

High School: Lanier graduated from Sedona Red Rock High School in May of 2023.

Personal: Lanier was born in Turlock, California, on August 26, 2005. His hobbies include basketball and Rocket League. He plans to earn his associates degree in cybersecurity while at YC. 

Bishop Rhoads | Rocket League | Sophomore | San Tan Valley, Arizona

High School: Rhoads graduated from San Tan Foothills High School in May of 2022. While in high school, Rhoads won several Rocket League tournaments. 

Personal: Rhoads was born in Mesa, Arizona, on March 3, 2004. During his free time, Rhoads is a goalkeeper on the men's soccer team at YC. While at YC, he plans to earn his associates degree in business. 

Mary Hashem | Overwatch 2 | Freshman | El Centro, California

High School: Hashem graduated from Southwest High School in June of 2022. 

Before Yavapai: Before becoming a Roughrider, Hashem previously attended Dickinson State University where she played golf. 

Personal: Hashem was born in Brawley, California, on July 24, 2004. Her hobbies include theater, design and dance. While at YC, she plans to earn her associates of arts and, in the future, earn her technical theater and film/media certifications.
