PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Winners of four-straight games, the Yavapai College baseball team is looking to keep things rolling this week with conference doubleheaders against Glendale and GateWay next up on the schedule. 

The Games
Baseball begins on Tuesday, March 28, at Roughrider Park in Prescott, Arizona, where the Roughriders will host the Glendale Community College Gauchos with game one set for a noon start. 

Then, on Friday, March 31, the Roughriders head to Phoenix, Arizona, for a doubleheader against the GateWay Community College Geckos with gametime set for noon as well. For YC, Friday also serves as its last regular-season roadtrip of the season as it will play 18 consecutive home games to finish the regular season.

The Gauchos
Ranked No. 17 in NJCAA DII baseball, the Gauchos come into their matchup with Yavapai at 22-14 overall and 9-11 in the conference. Last time out, GCC split with South Mountain. 

The Geckos
GateWay comes into its matchup with Yavapai at 15-17 overall and 7-13 in ACCAC play. Most recently, GateWay was swept py Pima. 

The Roughriders
Yavapai, on the aforementioned four-game winning streak, has also won eight-of-nine and sits at fourth in the conference with a 16-11 overall record and 11-7 conference record. 

Last week, the Roughriders swept Paradise Valley and Mesa on the road for their fourth and fifth road sweeps of conference competition this season.
