YUMA, Ariz. – The Yavapai College women's basketball team headed to Yuma, Arizona, on Wednesday night and fell to the Arizona Western College Matadors 61-34. On the season, the Roughriders now sit at 6-10 overall and 3-7 in conference play.

The Matadors got off to a quick start, however, freshman forward Kishyah Anderson did her best to keep things close as she drilled a trio of three pointers in the first eight and a half minutes of the game to keep the Matador lead to just three.

After the long-range shooting from Anderson, the Matadors scored the next five points and finished the first quarter with a 21-13 lead.

From there, YC scored seven points in the second, third and fourth quarters and eventually fell 61-34. Anderson finished up the night with 15 points.
