Baseball Falls Twice to No. 10 Central Arizona

PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The Yavapai College baseball team lost 15-5 and 15-3 in its Saturday doubleheader with the No. 10-ranked Central Arizona College Vaqueros to bring its overall record to 36-17-1 and conference record to 24-14. 

Game One
Central scored in every inning of its game-one run-rule victory with five, three, one, three and three runs scored, respectively. 

The Roughriders were able to push four runs across in the bottom of the third and one across in the bottom of the fourth to bring the game to its final of 15-5. 

Game Two
The second game of the day was much closer as Central took a 3-0 lead before the Roughriders tied things up with a three-spot in the bottom of the third. 

After a couple of scoreless frames from both teams, the Vaqueros took control with seven runs in the sixth and five runs in the seventh to bring the game to its final of 15-3.
