COTTONWOOD, Ariz. -- The Yavapai College volleyball squad, playing its first ever game in Cottonwood at Mingus Union High School, dominated on Wednesday night, sweeping the Spirit of Ottawa University in three-consecutive sets.

Down 3-1 early in the first set, the Roughriders went on an 8-0 run, overpowering the Spirit at the front of the net while showing off the power behind some ferocious kills. The large run propelled Yavapai to a 25-14 victory in set one.
