Biography

2024 (Freshman): Earned Second-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-Region honors… YC's ace was stellar inside the circle this season and made 21 appearances, including 19 starts. Romero finished with a 9-10 record and 4.04 ERA with 121 strikeouts in 128.1 innings pitched, leading the Roughriders in all categories. In the conference, she tied for ninth in wins, was fourth in innings pitched, tied for seventh in starts and was second in strikeouts. 
Stats

High School: Romero graduated from Paradise Honors High School in May of 2023. While at Paradise Honors, Romero was First-Team All-Region all four years and earned Region Pitcher of the Year honors during her freshman, sophomore and junior years. She helped lead her team to the playoffs three times and finished her career with a 1.32 ERA and 761 strikeouts.  

Personal: Romero was born in Surprise, Arizona, on January 18, 2005. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends. In the future, she plans to major in business.
