Boursaw was hired in October of 2022 and enters her second season as a coach with the Roughriders in the spring of 2024.
In 2023, the Roughriders went 6-42.
Boursaw's name should sound familiar to the YC community as the former Roughrider played softball for Yavapai during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, putting together one of the most impressive player resumes that the school has seen in any sport.
As a freshman in 2017, Boursaw hit .480 with 73 runs scored, 85 hits, 18 doubles, 32 home runs, 101 RBIs, 16 walks, an OBP% of .521 and SLG% of 1.124. As a sophomore in 2018, Boursaw hit .444 with 65 runs scored, 80 hits, 15 doubles, 28 home runs, 84 RBIs, 38 walks, an OBP% of .549 and SLG% of .994.
For her efforts, Boursaw earned All-Conference, All-Region and All-American honors during both seasons, 2017 ACCAC Player of the Year honors, 2018 NFCA Diamond Catcher of the Year honors and 2018 NJCAA Player of the Year honors.
In addition, Boursaw owns the career home run record at Yavapai (60), career RBI record at Yavapai (186) and is tied for sixth in career runs scored at Yavapai (139).
After two great years with the Roughriders, Boursaw continued her college softball career at NAIA powerhouse Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky.
As a junior in 2019, Boursaw hit .363 with 65 hits, 31 runs scored, four doubles, 14 homers, 47 RBIs, 18 walks, an OBP% of .412 and SLG% of .620, en route to First-Team All-Conference honors while helping lead her team to a 52-5 overall record that featured a deep run at the NAIA World Series.
As a senior in 2020 at Lindsey Wilson, Boursaw and company were 12-1 before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After her four-year playing career, Boursaw returned to Lindsey Wilson where she served as a graduate assistant coach for a year and specialized in recruiting, working with pitchers and catchers and coaching hitters.
