Biography

2021 (Sophomore): Played in eight games and started five games in goal for the Roughriders… Earned three wins and two shutouts while making 27 total saves. 
Stats

High School: Ruiz graduated from Coronado High School in May of 2020. As a junior, Ruiz led the state of Nevada with 11.5 shutouts and helped lead his team to a 20-4 record and a runner-up finish in the Nevada state 4A high school tournament. He also earned All-State selection honors for his junior year season. As a senior, he captained his team to a Desert Region final and a 17-4 record while posting 9.5 shutouts. He was an All-State selection and earned a spot on the Desert Region senior all star team.

Personal: Ruiz was born on October 2, 2001 in Camarillo, California. His hobbies include barbecuing with his family, listening to music and driving his old 1966 Chevy El Camino. His future plans include pursuing an associates degree in business and bachelors degree in finance.
