Michael Tristani was selected in 2017 to assist the Yavapai College soccer program in a variety of ways, including the training of the goalkeepers. He was a former Yavapai College goalkeeper for two years, including a member of the 1992 Yavapai College NJCAA National Championship team, the school’s second national soccer title. He was both a goalkeeper of the 1990 New Mexico state championship team and eventually a goalkeeper coach at his alma mater, St. Pius High School in Albuquerque. As an all-state player in high school, he was also selected the MVP at the Senior All-Star Game. In addition, he has coached keepers at Missouri Valley College, Virginia Military Institute, two high school programs in California and at a numerous summer camps across the country. In addition to playing with the Arizona Sahuaros of the Premier Development League, he also played on various professional sides throughout northern Europe. He is a licensed coach and a long-time member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
