Terra Schmidt grew up in Fresno, CA. She attend California State University of Fresno where she earned her B.S in Kinesiology Sports Medicine Option in 2004. There, she was exposed to all sports on campus but worked with sports such as Football, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Basketball and Arena Football. After graduating, Terra moved to Flagstaff, AZ where she worked for DeRosa Physical Therapy and coached girls’ soccer.
In August of 2005, she was hired at Yavapai College as one of the assistant athletic trainers to Scott Farnsworth. With Scott's move to the educational side of the college, she took over the program as the head athletic trainer.
Terra has been working for Yavapai College ever since and enjoys working with and meeting our athletes from all over the state and country. One of her favorite areas to work in is rehabilitation.
Terra lives in Chino Valley with her husband, Josh, who also teaches at Yavapai College. They have 2 boys and they love their black lab. They love to be outdoors exploring all that Arizona has to offer.
