2024 (Sophomore): Earned First-Team All-Conference and Second-Team All-Region honors… YC's leadoff hitter and center fielder brought the spark to the top of the lineup all season long, playing in 53 games and finishing with a .383 batting average, 51 runs scored, 67 hits, 18 doubles, three triples, five homers, 31 RBI's 16 walks, 23 steals, an OBP of .438 and SLG% of .606. He led the Roughriders in runs scored, triples and steals. In the conference, he was eighth in runs scored, ninth in hits, fourth in doubles, eighth in steals, seventh in batting average and seventh in SLG%. Defensively, Pruitt made just one error in 106 total chances this season for a fielding percentage of .991.
Stats
High School: Pruitt graduated from Byron Nelson High School in May of 2022. During his senior year, he hit seven triples (seventh in the state) and earned Second-Team All-District honors as a pitcher.
Before Yavapai: Before becoming a Roughrider, Pruitt attended Frontier Community College and Western Texas College. Last year, he led JUCO in triples with 12 and also stole 36 bases.
Personal: Pruitt was born in Dallas, Texas, on October 19, 2003. His hobbies include video games, bowling and hanging out with his friends. In the future, he plans to study business.
