2023 (Sophomore): Played in all 49 games for the Roughriders in 2023… Hit .323 with 33 runs scored, 54 hits, 14 doubles, three triples, five homers, 35 RBI’s, 21 walks and six stolen bases.

High School: Wood graduated from Ottumwa High School in May of 2021. During his time at Ottumwa, Wood earned All-Conference and All-District honors three times each and also earned First-Team All-State honors as a utility player as a senior. He also helped lead his team to three conference titles and a state tournament appearance in 2021. As a senior, he hit .450 with 35 RBIs, nine doubles, three triples, seven homers and 33 walks. As a junior, he hit .358 with dive doubles, three triples, one homer, 12 RBIs, 24 runs and seven steals. He also earned All-District honors twice in football and lettered in football, baseball, golf and wrestling. Also a member of the National Honors Society, Wood maintained a 3.3 GPA during all four years of high school and finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.4.
Before Yavapai: Before becoming a Roughrider, Wood previously attended the University of Iowa.
Personal: Wood was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, on January 3, 2003. His hobbies include golfing, hunting and fishing and, in the future, he plans to study business.
