Clinton joined the Roughriders in the summer of 2023 as the squad's pitching coach and enters his second season of coaching at YC in the spring of 2025.
In Coach Clinton's words:
"Played for Coach Woods in 1995-1996 at Oxnard College in California... Was Oxnard Male Athlete of the Year and Western States Conference Northern All-Star in 1996... Received AA in Liberal Arts.
Went on to the University of Utah and played there in 1997-1998. Graduated in 1999 with BA in Parks, Recreations, and Tourism.
Received master’s degree in Sports Administration in April of 2024 from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Was the Head Coach for Stansbury High School from 2010-2018. Team won five consecutive region titles from 2012-2016. Sent 17 players on to play college baseball.
Also, was the head coach for the Stansbury American Legion squad that won the 2012 Utah American Legion State Title.
Retired from the Tooele County Sheriff's Office in July of 2023 after 21 years of service in the Correction's Division.”
