PRESCOTT, Ariz. (November 19, 2025)
The Yavapai Men's Basketball team is continuing to be a tough team to play within Walraven Gymnasium, as they are now 4-0 at home! Tonight, the Roughriders defeated the Arizona Christian University JV team 74-52.
Yavapai has a very deep team, as most of the players were able to create great offensive and defensive plays!
Amari Lawrence finished the game with 11, including back-to-back triples in the first half!
Alex Pierce had another great game, finishing with 10, as well as
Ryan Vischer, who also had some key free throws in the second half to end the contest with 10.
Kayne Gilmore made a huge impact off the bench as the big man scored two three-pointers, one in each half.Â
In the very last offensive play for the Roughriders, French forward
Raphael Nibishaka scored his only two points off an offensive rebound-turned-monster slam dunk, which caused the bench to erupt while the final seconds were winding down.Â
Torin Bosch and Nibishaka both finished the game with 5 rebounds each, and Pierce had 2 steals!
An overall great performance by the Roughriders at home to advance to a 5-3 record on the season!Â
