In a busy Roughrider Athletics day, jam packed with many Fall Sport home games, the Yavapai Men's Soccer team came very close to either winning or tying with #8-ranked Arizona Western. Unfortunately, a late-game goal from the Matadors would disrupt the home team's momentum, with Yavapai losing 2-3.

The two goals were scored by Judah Levy and Rashaad Powery. Both goals came off of corner or penalty kicks, with Rashaad's PK curving left behind the goalie's head.

Goalkeeper Daniel Alexis Medina Gonzalez had 4 saves this game.

Cesar da Silva had 4 shots, with 3 of them coming close to scoring, while Jair Montoya had 3 shots.

Next Tuesday, October 7th, Yavapai will cross state lines as they head up to Henderson for a rematch against the Coyotes of Southern Nevada. That game will kick off at 7 PM.
