In tonight's Men's Soccer playoff game, Yavapai college hosted visiting Eastern Arizona College. The Roughriders were able to come out on top of the Gila Monsters, defeating them 2-0.

The first half of this game had a good amount of Yavapai offense, with many players attempting shots on the opponent's goal. These first half heroes included #19 Kodee Karcher, #10 Andres Pulido, #14 Brandon Fischer, #20 Ricardo Juarez, #7 David Murillo, #11 Anthony Khananisho, and #24 Ian Lama. Lama was the only one in this half able to make the ball find the back of the net. As for defense, not much was needed as this half was all offense for the home team. However, that did not stop #6 Tyler Loveridge, Kodee Karcher, and Ricardo Juarez from making some stops. Goalie #99 Max Ionita had all the stops of the game attempted near his goal.

The second half had much more defense from the EAC Gila Monsters, ao Yavapai did not get as many shots on the goal. The ones who were able to get their shots off include Lama, Fischer, #26 Raphael Di Cecco, Pulido, Khananisho, Juarez, Karcher, and #17 Jacob Vincent. The second goal of the game was scored by #22 Dante Espino-Kennedy. The defense ramped up in this half for the home team. More Maximiliano Ionita saves were a key factor in this half, as EAC got very close to scoring a few times. Outside of his saves, he got some defensive assistance from #16 Rashaad Powery, Loveridge, Lama, Murillo, Fischer, Juarez, and Di Cecco.

Yavapai wins 2-0.

Yavapai will play their next playoff game this Saturday, November 2nd, against Arizona Western. They will travel to Yuma for this event.
