PRESCOTT, Ariz. – It was a game of almosts for the Yavapai College men's soccer team as it hosted the Arizona Western College Matadors on Tuesday night at Ken Lindley Field, eventually falling 1-0 to drop to 6-4 overall on the season and 5-3 in conference games. 

Several scoring chances for both teams in the first half resulted in nothing but goal kicks and the Roughriders and Matadors went into the break tied 0-0. 

After halftime, it was AWC that broke through on the scoresheet with 25 minutes left to play in the game, scoring on a header from a cross in front of the goal to take a 1-0 lead. 

That score would eventually stand as the final as a couple of good scoring opportunities went by the wayside for YC.
