The Roughrider baseball season came to an end Saturday afternoon in the NJCAA West District Championship game with a loss to Central Arizona College, 15-8.
 
YC fell behind 5-0 in the second inning. Yavapai responded with a TJ Wheeler home run in the third. CAC countered with 2 runs in the third and the Roughriders got a home run from Damone Hale and Travis Warringer scored on a Danny Martin ground out.
 
The Vaqueros extended their lead to 11-4 in the fourth inning. In the fifth inning, Noah Turley knocked a two-run homer and YC added another run in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 11-7. Yavapai got their final run in the eighth inning.
 
TJ Wheeler, Damone Hale, Amari Bartee, Travis Warinner and Danny Martin each had two hits.
 
YC concludes the season with a 34-21 overall record and the 2021 NJCAA Region I Division I Championship.
