The Roughrider baseball team split a conference doubleheader Tuesday afternoon in Prescott with Arizona Western College. YC won the first game 8-4 and dropped the second game 10-6. YC is now 20-15 on the year and 15-11 in ACCAC action.
 
In the opener, 
Noah Turley drove in five runs on three home runs to power the Roughriders to the victory. The freshman from Utah knocked home runs in the first, second and fifth innings. 
TJ Wheeler, 
Damone Hale and Travise Warinner each had 2 hits. Wheeler knocked a home run in the first inning.
 
Taisei Yahiro earned his sixth victory of the year throwing five innings striking out 5. 
Nathan Ward threw the final two innings to earn the save.
 
In the nightcap, YC let an early lead slip away. Yavapai took an early 4-2 lead. The Matadors tied the game in the top of the fourth inning and the Roughriders regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning, however, Arizona Western put three runs on the board in the top of the seventh and added three more in the top of the ninth. YC attempted a comeback in the bottom of the ninth but their effort fell short.
 
TJ Wheeler led the offense going 3 for 4 with a home run. 
Lance Kelly and 
Noah Turley each had two hits and a home run, Turley's fourth on the day.  Turley added four more runs batted in making his total for the day 9.
 
The Roughriders return to the home diamond on Saturday, April 17
th entertaining Pima Community College. The doubleheader will begin at 12:00 PM
