The Roughrider softball team knocked 33 hits and scored 29 runs Tuesday afternoon in Phoenix in a rout of Gateway Community College, 16-0 and 13-4. Yavapai improves their overall record to 19-6 and 13-2 in conference play. Gateway is now 1-19 on the year and 0-14 in the ACCAC standings.

Cassie Elliott didn't allow a single run throwing the complete game shutout. Elliott allowed just three hits and struck out three.

Esperanza Rodriguez had a four bagger in the third inning.
